Glo-worms - reflective strips to prevent trips

We were invited to review this product and it couldn't have come at a better time - the samples arrived just as we set off to a feestival. Anyone who's ever camped at a festival will know how tightly packed in the tents are and how annoying it is to have 'merry' revellers tripping over your guys ropes all night as your try to get a couple of hours shut-eye.

We couldn't wait to get these little 'worms' attached to our tent and, as the package promised, they were very easy to attach - simply thread the guy rope through them and you're away.

But.... do they work?
Well.. For some reason I'd convinved myself that they were glow in the dark. Which they're not.

We found that unless there was light shining directly on them you couldn't see them - although we were pitched in a very dark field with no artificial light for miles around.
However, the second we shone a torch on them they lit up like beacons, and I'm sure that in a campsite with any level of lighting they would be very effective and we're looking forward to testing them out again on our next trip.
Our verdict: 7/10 - a brilliant idea, simple to use and a great way to prevent trips on guy ropes.
