 Would you recommend it?: Yes. It is far better than any battery lantern I have used and the electric start means no fiddling about in the dark with matches. The easy lock and load cartridge system makes changing gas cartridges easy-peasy.
The lantern costs around £18 and the spare cartridges are £4 each from any camping shop. Cartridges last for about 7 hours although I find that one cartridge lasts me 2 or 3 trips.
It can also be used to warm your hands up (my tip, not the manufacturers)!
Marks out of 10?: 8/10. Only let down by the fact you have to change the mantle from time to time (once a year maybe) which can be fiddly.
